Terms of Service

These terms describe the understanding between you and Ananda Leigh, working as Sacred Birth (“I,” “me,” or “we”), when you use this website or engage me as a holistic doula and birth photographer. By using this site or requesting a discovery session, you agree to these terms. They work alongside — and are completed by — the individual service agreement you receive when you book.
What I offer
I provide non-medical holistic doula support and documentary birth photography for families in Florida. Doula support means continuous emotional, physical, and informational presence before, during, and after birth. Birth photography means witnessing and documenting your story as it unfolds. The specific services, inclusions, and investment for your care are set out in your service agreement.
Doula support is not medical care
My role as a doula is supportive, not clinical. I am not a midwife, nurse, or physician. I do not perform clinical tasks, diagnose conditions, prescribe, or make medical decisions, and my support does not replace care from your chosen medical provider. You remain responsible for your own medical choices in partnership with your care team.
The discovery session
The $55 discovery session is a private conversation to feel whether we are a fit. It is credited in full toward your care if you go on to book. Payment is made after I reply to your request, through a secure link I send by email; no payment is taken on this website.
Booking, cancellation, and refunds
Your birth work is reserved through your signed service agreement and the payment described there. Because I take a limited number of births each month and hold your time on call, cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms are set out in that agreement. Where those terms and this page differ, your signed agreement governs.
Photography — ownership and use
Documentary birth photography is unpredictable by nature; I photograph your story faithfully as conditions, privacy, and your care team allow, and cannot guarantee specific moments. Unless your agreement says otherwise:
- I retain the copyright to all images I create.
- You receive a personal-use license to the images delivered to you — to keep, print, and share in personal settings.
- My use of your images for portfolio or marketing is governed by the separate photo release, which you may decline.
- Delivery timelines, gallery availability, and archival limits are described in your agreement; I am not responsible for loss of images after the archival period ends.
Your part
So that I can serve you well, please give accurate information, keep in touch as your due date approaches, notify me promptly when labor begins, and help arrange safe and permitted access to your birth location.
Limitation of liability
I bring my full skill and presence to your care, offered in good faith. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for medical outcomes, the conduct of your medical providers or birth facility, or circumstances beyond my reasonable control — including rapid labor, facility restrictions, or access issues that affect attendance or photography. To the extent any liability is found, it is limited to the amount you paid for the affected service.
Intellectual property
The text, images, and design of this website are my property or used with permission and may not be copied or reused without my written consent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I will revise the date at the top of this page.
